AMS Controls Training Attendee Information
This page is intended to provide information for planning your travel to St. Louis, choosing a hotel, and what to expect during training. If you have a question that isn’t answered on this page, please call or email us and we’d be happy to help!
AMS Controls hosts client training four times a year at our office in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The classes run back-to-back over four days.

Amenities During Training
We know that many of you will need to keep in contact with work while you are with us. To keep you connected, we provide free Public Wi-Fi for internet access and a 120 VAC outlet at each seat for charging laptops and phones. We do ask, however, that phones are kept on silent or vibrate to prevent interrupting the class.
We don’t want you to go hungry, so we’ll provide pastries in the morning along with coffee and water throughout the day. For lunch, we provide gourmet box lunches for each day of training. Someone will contact you a week or two before the class to provide you with a menu for lunch orders. Please reply to that email or our resident training specialist will get to pick what you eat!
After-Training Activities
Depending on availability, training attendees are encouraged to join us for after-training entertainment. Previous classes have enjoyed Demolition Ball and/or an evening at Schlafly Bottleworks. Transportation, food, and drinks are provided courtesy of AMS Controls. Each session’s entertainment may vary. We will contact you with more information in the weeks leading up to training.
After lunch on the second day of Eclipse training, all attendees are invited to a discussion and demonstration of AMS Controls’ current and new products. Our products are continually being improved based on customer feedback, particularly the feedback we receive during these sessions. If you are interested, please allow about two hours to participate. Please remember that our office is approximately ten minutes from the airport.
What on earth is
Demolition Ball?
Demolition Ball is a combination of bumper cars and rugby. It’s exciting, it’s fun, and it’s a great way to clear your mind after a long day of training! Still aren’t sure? Watch the video below to get an idea of what Demolition Ball is all about.
Training Documents
Here are the training manuals and daily schedules we have created for our Eclipse and Machine Controls classes. These documents are subject to change, but the latest versions will be available on this page.
