Strong customer demand means we are looking for a highly organized, natural communicator to take up our Customer Support Coordinator role within our team in Maryland Heights.

If you like the idea of being the linchpin of customer support, coordinating the activities and calendars of our technical people, and would thrive in a company that’s transparent, open-minded, supportive and entrepreneurial, we would love to meet you.

The perfect customer support role…

On any given day you will:

  • Handle inbound inquiries. You’ll quickly ascertain customer requirements, responding personally to shipping and repair status calls, emails, and elevating troubleshooting to our tech people.
  • Schedule and coordinate the site visits of our repair technicians and system installers with a view to maximizing their productivity.
  • Manage the open caseload to ensure cases don’t fall through the cracks.
  • Follow up with customers to make sure they’re returning items when necessary.
  • Follow up with customers to make sure they have a positive service experience.
  • Respond to literature requests by providing appropriate documentation, schematics, and procedures.
  • Organize and provide service and parts quotations to customers.

What you need to bring to the table

You’ll be as sharp as a tack. You’ll be comfortable talking over the phone because as you rapidly learn about our business, articulating ideas and concepts will quickly become second nature to you.

If you don’t like talking on the phone, this isn’t the role for you.

Your phone support experience is important, but if you have experience within the metal forming industry as well, that’s a bonus. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Comfortable on the phone. Because this is a telephone support role, you need the communication skills to interpret what somebody on the other end of the call is feeling. The ability to help frustrated callers while remaining calm is very important.
  • Organizational skills. There’s a difference between saying you’re organized and actually being organized.
  • CRM Experience. You have experience with CRMs and data entry. Ideally, it would be Microsoft Dynamics CRM/SharePoint/NAV. (Of course, we also provide training on how we use “our” CRM.)
  • Computer skills. You know your way around Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).

“So what’s in it for me,” you ask?

Based at our Maryland Heights headquarters, you’ll enjoy being part of a fun, highly supportive, and highly skilled team that loves to innovate. Plus you’ll enjoy:

  • A competitive hourly wage
  • Benefits package with paid vacation
  • A host of other things that make coming to work a pleasant experience!

How to maximize your chance of success

If you’re excited about this position you should follow these steps carefully:

  1. Prepare a cover letter that is tailored to this role. It must demonstrate you’ve read over this job description and highlight how your experience is applicable. GENERIC COVER LETTERS will be discarded and not considered.
  2. Include your resume and ensure it has your proper contact information.
  3. Please submit and complete these items via email to jobs@amscontrols.com only, no phone calls, please!

We look forward to hearing from you!

Strong demand for our world-class controls and integrated systems means we are now looking for a talented and experienced Industrial Controls Technician to join our team in St. Louis, MO.

If you have strong interpersonal skills, confidence and can operate independently in the field, and would thrive in a company that’s open-minded, supportive, and entrepreneurial, we would love to meet you.

      • An understanding of algebra and strong math skills.
      • Ambitious people who are not afraid to ask questions. We create complex technical systems and expect you to have questions about how they work.
      • Organizational skills. There’s a difference between saying you’re organized and actually being organized.

Plus, any of these (or all of them) would be nice to have:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Controls, Engineering, or similar field.
      • Manufacturing operations background or knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly metal forming and roll forming.
