Standard Console Systems

AMS Controls offers standardized console systems in addition to complete custom integrated systems. The following systems are standard packages offered for our XL2 Series of controllers.

XL2-DC Standard Console System

Features

  • 20” Consolette
  • Designed to replace existing MP350/MP301 DC Consolette Controllers
  • Bulkhead connectors that match existing MP350/MP301 cabling
  • No re-wiring necessary for the upgrade
  • Can be sold as a stand alone unit
  • Contains Qty 2 model 5840-2 slammer modules
  • Push buttons including: Manual Shear, Manual Punch, Line Run/Halt, Power

Additional items that may be required:

  • 4348-10 I/O Cable
  • 2148-X Encoder Cable

Important! This unit does not contain e-stop circuitry. All e-stop safety is the customer’s responsibility.

XL2-AC Standard Console System

Features

  • Designed to replace existing MP350/MP301 DC Consolette Controllers

XL2-OL Standard Console System

This unit was designed for Stud and Track Applications, but it will work well on many Feed-to-Stop machines.

  • Designed for Open-Loop applications
  • Support for Flying Presses and Feed-to-Stop machines
  • Support for an XL200 controller (Does not support XL206 or higher)
  • Contains QTY 2 5840-2 Slammer modules for Flying Press Control
  • Contains Output Relays for Feed-to-Stop Press Control
  • Contains a Model 6390 Splitter board for Printer applications
  • Contains a Category 4 rated Safety Relay
  • Terminal Blocks for Customer wiring
  • Pushbutton including: Power, Line Run/Halt, Manual Shear, Manual Punch, Reset, E-stop

XL2-Level 1 Standard Console System

This system is designed for Open-Loop Only applications where the system needs to be expandable. The system will operate a flying press machine as well as feed-to-stop applications.

This system is designed for Closed-Loop and Open-Loop Applications. The system can operate a Closed-Loop Die Accelerator or a Servo Feed System, but not both.
